Tools and Hardware Reviews of Honeywell HFS641P 16-Inch Remote Control Stand FanCustomer Review: Crank It Up Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased the Honeywell HFS641P a little over a month ago and I am very pleased with the choice. I also purchased a Soleus fan with remote for my roommate. I bring them both up, because they are both terrific fans depending on your likes. The Honeywell is very powerful and moves a lot of air; this fan is louder because of it. The other fan is much quieter, but doesn't push as much air. I am happy with mine because I don't mind it being a little louder- and in my case with my window facing a well travelled road the sound is enough to drown out the traffic noise, while not being a nuisance. If you want much quieter, Soleus seems to do a great job.
Customer Review: Loud but what did you expect, it's a big fan Summary: 4 Stars
This fan is really nice if you are looking to move a lot of air in a fairly large room. It is loud as many people have pointed out but you have to expect that from a fan this size. The "Breeze" function is kind of annoying as the fan speeds up and down it doesn't give you a chance to get used to the constant fan noise. The remote is pretty light and feels a bit fragile but it is nice having that controls everything except the oscillation. The big selling point for me is the metal blade cage. It is sturdy and should be able to withstand a tip over. The plastic ones will break with a fall and are hard to clean.
Customer Review: OK for the price - but cheap feel Summary: 3 Stars
I think this made in China fan is decent for the price, but I was expecting a better build. I guess I was expecting too much. There's a lot of lightweight plastic involved, and the fan knob that holds the fan blade in place is also cheap plastic. I stripped it a little by trying to screw it on CLOCKWISE then I read in the directions that it screws in COUNTER-CLOCKWISE, so beware. As for noise, even the low setting does seem a bit noisy but for my use it's not much a problem. My main concern is the durability of this fan. Overall I give it 3 stars as an "OK" fan for the price.
Customer Review: Honeywell wind tunnel Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this fan for my brother who likes to sleep in hurricane conditions. He is not bothered by the noise, and absolutely loves this product. Unfortunately, you cannot get this fan affordably on Amazon anymore. I would caution those who have Vizio TVs, as the Honeywell remote uses the same frequency. If you turn the volume up/down on the TV, or turn the TV on/off, you adjust the speed of the fan. This information is helpful to those who have universal remotes and want to program it to control their fans...just look for Vizio TV codes!
Customer Review: A real powerhouse! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this fan when my old one played out.My last one had been pretty weak when it came to stirring a good breeze so I was really wanting a good
stout fan to sleep by.This Honeywell fits the bill right down to the ground, while it is a little loud it doesn't hinder me at all from sleeping.
This fan is so powerful that when I used the remote to switch from medium to high the fan actually rocked back on the stand,AWESOME!!I would imagine that low would be plenty of air for most people but for a breeze lover like me high was perfect.
