I bought 2 of them for bed room & living room and am very satisfied with this purchase.. I did a thorough research before buying it and this product had a very good rating.. When it arrived I thought it is very small and it may not suffice our need but when I turned it ON I couldn't believe the power this small thing had.. The 3 speed setting is just apt for the temperatures in summer in NJ..
As this fan is fixed in only one direction it would have been the best fan if it moved side ways thats what I think.. But overall its good product and am happy with it.

I am a college student and these fans are cheap and at Target, so most of my friends have at least one. The downside is, they are horrible, cheaply made, and downright dangerous. The base is too small for the fan, making it extremely top heavy. As a result, if the fan is on an uneven surface or ledge, like a windowsill, any jolt sends it toppling to the floor, or your head, really whatever is underneath. Moreover, it is loud, blows at very limited angles, and really doesn't move that much air. Even the cord is short.
Seriously, don't buy this fan.

We live in Texas where it gets HOT during the Spring, Summer and Fall so we need good fans. This fan is great for blowing away some of the hot air. I love it but the only complaint I have is that it is hard to clean the fan because the body is screwed together and won't come apart easily to clean it. Otherwise I think it is a great fan. I also have an 18 inch one that I've had for 3 years and it is still working and has never had any problems except trying to clean it since it also does not come apart easily for cleaning. We got this fan to circulate air during summer.
It does the work very well, but it's very loud. Even on it's lowest setting is so loud that we can't sleep when it's on.
The fan is very durable - we have it more than a year and it's still working great, like new.
It's light - you can move it easily.
The fan is small - it's not difficult to find a spot for it.
If you are OK with the noise - this is a great little fan for you; but if noise is bothering you - then you should continue browsing and get some other fan.

Update: I went shopping for a new fan and is not buy this one. I decided it was too loud and went with one quieter & more expensive hoping it will last longer. (So I guess I'm not 4 stars happy with this.)
This fan is VERY loud. I'm sure the word turbo was carefully chosen. A fan this small has to be noisy to move so much air. We have gone through at least 3 over the past 4 years. We run ours constantly during the summer to get the AC where it needs to be in our old house. I will be buying a replacement for the one that died last year.
