Tools and Hardware Reviews of Honeywell Low-Profile Silent Comfort Heater

Customer Review: The best 1500 watt heater on the market....
Summary: 5 Stars

This heater out performs my oil-filled 1500 watt heater hands down. I replaced my bedroom heater with this one 14ft X 13ft ... We live at 2600 feet... In the past , my oil filled unit takes the chill off my bedroom .. This one woke me up sweating last night.. I had to turn it off and crack the exterior door to cool the room down.. The temperature outside dropped to below 40 degrees and we use no other source of heat at this end of the home.. In fact, One unit in my living room 13ft X 17ft with an 18ft peaked ceiling and a full wall of windows... Takes the chill right off.... Didn't even start a fire today .. I'm impressed..

Customer Review: OVERRATED ! DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE
Summary: 3 Stars

This is a copy of the original HZ515 made ( 2 ) years ago by another manufacture. This is a poor copy of the original; The heater cord on the newest version is ribbon thin compared to the originals 14 Gauge cord which was heavy duty thick and round. There is only one seting for power on this newest version, the original had two setting one for 700 watts and another for 1500 watts. The new version requires that you crank it all the way to the right before you notice any real heat. I could go on and on about this heater. Once again corporate America has screwed the consumer with a bad made in China copy of an original heater.

Customer Review: Good product
Summary: 5 Stars

I love it, it is quiet and the right size for me. I spent $70 on the HZ-515 and don't know if I would want to spend much more. I use about $5 dollars a day in electric powering 2 of these guys along with everything else in my apartment (cost per kilowatt hour is $0.165). Once they get a room up to temp it keeps it warm and toasty. I have one heating 250 sq ft room and I leave to doors open, so I heat about 600 sq ft with both HZ-515's. The average temp is about 45F I think if it gets much colder the HZ-515's will not be able to heat the area well and I will have to get an added heat source.

Customer Review: Great use for our son's room
Summary: 4 Stars

We purchased this heater back in October for our now 8 month old son's room to help take the chill off the air at night when he's sleeping. We picked this one because it was silent (no fan) and had a temperature control with an on/off switch. It works quite well even with the door slightly ajar at night. After 3 months of use, the heater is starting to make little creaking noises, but is still working fine.

The only down side to this heater is the metal surface gets really hot so we will have to be careful once he starts crawling and walking.

Customer Review: Quiet warmth
Summary: 4 Stars

We bought this heater to take the chill off the den for a couple of hours when we watch TV on cold nights. Even at a low setting it spreads warmth throughout the room. We like the fact that there is no noise other than the occasional click when the heater cycles on. While we had a good spot for the appliance I can imagine that its size might be a problem in a very small room. However for our 13' x 11' space we found a great spot. I think in this coming Northeast winter, when our thermostats are set extra low to save oil, our heater will be a real boon.
