Our wired doorbell malfunctioned, and we decided to try this wireless door chime based on the technical specs and the reviews. So far, it is an excellent product (it has been installed for only three days). We bought two of them, one for upstairs and one for downstairs. They can be programmed to play different sounds or the same sound. We put a push button at the front door and the side door. After trying different sounds, we decided to have both chimes play the same sound regardless of which push button (front or side door) was pressed. But, again, you can program different sounds. The icons on the front of the units display a flashing light to show which door button was activated.
Read the instructions before you program the units!! Also, if you decide to not mount the units on a wall, the volume will be very muted if you lay the chimes on their back because the speaker faces the back of the chime. The wall brackets hold the top of the unit away from the wall. We put small clear rubber bumbers on the bottom, back of the chimes to hold them completely away from the wall. That way the volume is the loudest.

I spent a ton of time looking for the right wireless doorbell for my house and finally found it with this Honeywell unit. So far I have only set up the doorbell portion of the unit and that works perfectly. I also bought 2 motion sensors that work with this unit, but haven't set them up yet. Based on how well the doorbells work, I'm sure they'll work just as well. The price through Amazon was also impressive, as I first found this unit on another site for something like 160.00 and I paid 48 here. I like the 48.00 option MUCH better. :)
The only drawback and this is small, is the flashing blue light when the bell rings. I want a light to flash when someone rings the bell, but the blue (I'm assuming) LEDS are so crazy bright when they flash you could land a plane with them. I took a little black gaff tape and covered 75% of the light and it's much better now.
So, so far really happy and I'm looking forward to setting up the motion sensors and connecting them to the unit as part of my security system for the house.

I have had this product for almost three months. It works well. I have a front gate that I screwed the push button on. Unfortunately, I learned that you can't put the button on anytype of surface. I had to place some washers between the button unit and the metal gate surface to make the signal stronger between the button and chime units. I tried to place it on the stucco wall of my house, but that didn't work because again the button won't send the signal when it is mounted flush again the stucco or metal gate. I guess the signal from the button to the chime unit can be compromised by the surface (and thickness of the surface?) of where you're putting the push button. So after mounting the button on the metal frame of my gate with some spacers between the unit and mounted surface, I moved the chime unit near my front door, and the wireless unit worked perfectly. The chimes are loud and audible from my back yard even when I have my sliding doors and windows shut. The distance between my gate and front door is no more than 50 feet.Customer Review: Remote doorbell that works

I'm very happy with this remote doorbell. We went for several years without a decent working doorbell when our central intercom system stopped working. I tried a remote doorbell at a local high-end hardware store. I bought the most expensive one they had. It had severe range limitations and only worked intermittently even when placed close to the front door.
This one is another story, a good one. My favorite feature is that it works. Every time.
It is loud enough and offers a number of options for the melody and volume. I can't say I love any of the tunes, but that is a matter of personal preference, and you can hear the tunes online before you buy, so that's fair enough. The tone could be richer, too. It's a bit tinny.
The receiver (speaker) is fairly attractive, so you don't mind placing it where you want it to go.
The cost, I consider a bargain. The price of the first one I bought (about half the price of the Honeywell) was outrageous, as it never worked reliably.

This item is awesome and works just as I had hoped it would. It is loud enough, but more importantly the strobe is very bright, but not blinding. People wonder what this is when they come over because it looks so stylish. I have the button on the outside of the front of my house and the product downstairs and around a corner. No problems getting the signal to work. I highly suggest this product. I bought it for when I am playing video games and have my gaming headphones on (you can't hear anything but the game). So the strobe was a must. This can be used also for when I have parties in my finished basement, I know when to come up and answer the door when everyone is downstairs and talking/music playing loudly/etc...
I researched every wireless doorbell known to man (over 50 hours of research). This was the best one I could find and was very happy for the low price/great quality/excellent range of signal/and sleek and sexy look. It also has expansion possibilities if you wanted to.
