The unit works well. I have had it for almost a year, and though with light usage, it works well.
I did not think the base unit was asthetically appeasing in my environment (it's black and silver, and my walls are white), but since it's wireless, I was able to place it on top of a cabinet in the kitchen, out of view, and system continues to work well, as well as sound being loud enough for me to hear the sound on the second level.

My wired doorbell died a year ago. I was going to try to fix it, but loathed the notion of crawling around in the attic, fishing wires out of the wall, just for a stupid doorbell....
Enter the Honeywell and now all is happiness and bliss. It took me about 5 minutes to install the device and choose the chime that I wanted. Works great for the distances that I need. What else could one ask for?

I got the wireless door chime because my house was not wired for a door bell. When someone came to the door I couldn't hear them knock. I chose this based one other reviews and I have to say I am very happy with it. It is loud enough, easy to set up install. The range is excellent and it operates flawlessly every time. It is a great alternative to trying to run wires for a conventional door bell. Highly recommended.Customer Review: Not loud enough

I wanted to make two of these work together so that I could have a chime upstairs and one downstairs since I do not feel that one of these chimes is loud enough cover a whole house especially a large house. Even though I was told by Honeywell Customer Service that I could do this, I have never been able to make two of them work together. After almost giving up on them, I finally did get them to work together.Customer Review: phenomenal!!!!

After trying to the HORRIFIC doorbells at Home depot that cost twice as much, I saw this and wondered "why doesn't HD carry this?" So i ordered it.
It's great... the lights are awesome for me since work in a home studio. IT'S PORTABLE! I CAN TAKE IT WITH ME TO THE STUDIO! I can see the lights flash too when i have headphones on!!
It's just great top to bottom. 6 stars.
