fine device, works well and simple to operate, no problems. but for us there is a major issue that makes no sense. the face lighting does not last long and therefore hard to see the face if you just are walking by and want to check the temperature, etc. one needs to touch any button to get it on for a few seconds but that will disturb the settings. from that aspect it is a poor design.Customer Review: Great price and easy to program

This took my brother and I a whole 5 minutes to hook this thermostat up and as I read in previous reviews the screen was dim and not able to read very well, which I did not find to be the case. I can see the screen even when the led light is not lite up. I programmed the thermostat very quickly and I didn't even have to read the book. Great DIY project even for the most novice beginner.Customer Review: Easy does it

It worked exactly how I wanted. Very easy to program the time I wake up to the time I sleep to put in the temperature I want. The weekday and saturday and sunday separate time feature is great. On weekday, there is a longer period when the heater is off and on the weekend is on longer. I only used it for oil heater. I do not know how it will work for central air.Customer Review: Works great, easy install, and will save me money

I installed this in about 15 minutes and programmed it in 5. The unit comes pre-set with a common 8-5 work day schedule that is supposedly the best for energy saving. I tweaked it a bit but not much. Its nice having the house warm when i wake up and cool when im not there or sleeping. These show be mandatory in a time of global energy crisis.

This is a pretty good no-frills thermostat. It was easy to install, and I have no complaints about it. The interface is easy to use and intuitive. The display is well laid out and full of good information, also making it easy to use. The Amazon feature list is incorrect about one item though. This thermostat does not have a "filter change reminder".
