I've been very happy with this thermostat since I bought it to replace a horrible Lux programmable thermostat that was rated #1 by a certain consumer products rating publication. This Honeywell was a snap to install compared to the old one, and super easy to setup. The controls are intuitive, the best of any programmable thermostat I've ever used. I've tested it against my standard thermometer, and it's spot on. This thermostat came with good documentation for installation and initial setup. My application replaced a non-programmable Honeywell. Wiring was simple to change over with all color codes matching the terminal block in the thermostat base. There are 4 time periods for each of the 7 separate days. Multiple days can be programmed simultaneously or individually. The touch screen works well and is very intuitive. Easy install, seriously! Quick read of the installation manual...10 minutes and it's up and running (took longer for the paint to dry around the mounting plate). What a differnece a new unit makes...I was replacing an older Honeywell programable unit, which must have really been on the 'fritz'. As soon as I got it connected and programed...this was also quite straight forward, within 45 minutes the whole house was much more balanced than before. This thermostat does everything you could want.
This particular model is able to work with my heat pump with emergency heat. (make sure that you get the right type for your unit.)
One of the best features to me is the ability to set the high and low temp. and it can auto. change from heat to cool or vice versa. So you can just leave it on auto. year round. So if gets hot in the day and cool at night it doesn't matter.

This is the best thermostat that I have ever used! Please be aware that it may be difficult for the typical home owner to install, and the unit has to be programmed after installation. I am not talking about typical temperature settings; you have to actually tell the unit what some of the wires do. I installed two thermostats from another company several years ago and still this one took me about 30 minutes.
