Customer Review: Manhattan construction/dirt + QUIET!

I also live in downtown Manhattan, and construction on my building's roof has been spewing dust and dirt everywhere. I have this air purifier in my bedroom, and it has been very effective with reducing my usual spring allergy symptoms.Most of all, I love the fact that this air purifier is so effective without being loud like other air purifiers -- while it isn't quite "silent," on low the air purifier is whisper quiet, so I have no trouble falling asleep with it on. I also like the "no draft" technology, so it also isn't windy like other air purifiers.
The only thing I would add to other reviews is that it is actually a little bigger than it appears in this picture. The fact that it can't be placed flush against a wall is a downer, but overall, I have been very happy with this purchase! Also, I inexplicably received this just one day after I ordered it even though the listing says it is not currently in stock.

WE BOUGHT THIS HEPA AIR CLEANER FOR OUR DAUGHTERS ROOM (AMONG OTHER ALLERGY RELIEVERS) WHEN WE FOUND OUT SHE'S HIGHLY ALLERGIC TO DUST MITES, PET DANDER ETC.WITHIN A COUPLE OF NIGHTS, SHE SAYS SHE STARTED FEELING BETTER. SHE'S 3 1/2 YEARS OLD,AND WOULD WAKE UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AND SNEAK INTO ME & MY HUSBANDS BED. IT'S BEEN ABOUT 3 MONTHS NOW, AND SHE'S SNUCK IN OUR BED MAYBE TWICE.I JUST THINK IT'S BECAUSE SHE'S NOT WAKING UP FROM SNEAZING, AND FEELING CONGESTED.I DON'T KNOW WETHER IT'S THIS HEPA FILTER, THE DUST MITE COVERS ON HER BED AND PILLOW, OR THE 3 SHARPER IMAGE AIR CLEANERS WE DECIDED TO PURCHASE TO TRY TO HELP EAZE HER ALLERGIES AND ASTHMA,(WE JUST COUDN'T GET RID OF OUR DOG) I DEFINATELY RECOMMEND IT. I requested an air purification system from my apartment management a few years ago when my son was small and we were getting a lot of second-hand smoke from our neighbor's apartment. We received two of these Honeywell models for our 600 sq. ft. apartment and immediately noticed an improvement! (We had a town-house, and we placed one downstairs, one upstairs.) I think you can stretch the recommended square footage a little, as long as you let the purifier run 24/7 and keep the doors and windows closed. Overall, I recommend the product, but suspect that there may be new, improved versions on the market (and now that I've moved into a bigger place, I plan to purchase one with the capacity to clean a larger space)Customer Review: Works as advertised

I bought one a year ago and have been using it almost 24/7 ever since. Although my family isn't experiencing any allergy symptoms, I bought it as a preventative measure hoping it would lessen the likleyhood of any of my children from developing allergies. When we move to a larger house this year I plan to purchase another one.
As far as its performance, it is a very quiet machine when operating at the low setting. The pre-filter has been replaced just once and after the filter replacement light came on.

We bought this Air cleaner for our daughter who has had terrible respiratory problems and required a nebulizer everyday, She had missed 2 months of school last year Since purchasing it 2 months ago- she has not missed a day of school , and have not used the nebulizer once! We have forced hot air heat and our home gets dusty very quickly- it has cut down on the amount of dust in her room too. I would very highly recommend this product.
