The fan fit perfectly in the window, the temp controlled fan works. Wish list, it would be nice if there was a way to close the fan openings when not in use. Another way of explaining this would be is that basically the design makes the window open to outside air & sounds all of the time. Whether you want it or not. Otherwise for the price I paid < $30 it was perfect. Make a point to shop around, the same units price range was from $25 - $85.Customer Review: Loud and unreliable

I bought this one as a replacement for one that was just old but worked ok. This one turned out to be extremely loud. It also broke just 30 days after buying it. When I tried returning it then the nightmare begun. Amazon wouldn't back it up, the third party seller wouldn't back it up and finally the manufacturer would only back it up IF I send it back at my expense which at the end it would be more cost effective to get another one.Customer Review: Honeywell Window Fan

Window Fan
For the price, this window fan is a great buy. I purchased this second unit to replace the same model which endured a lot of use. It's fairly quite for the amount of air it moves. A window fan is a great way to save money on your electric bill. I never use my air conditioner, even during the summer months.

I bought this fan because I smoke , and wanted something to exhaust tobacco smoke out of the room. This might work for a small room. The lack of ratings on wattage and air evacution in these window fans makes it difficult for the consumer to evaluate. if there is enogh air inlet in the room (through the door) the air evacution is good.
B U T!!!! the should be a solution to cover the fan over night (in winter)

I bought this fan to replace one that was broken during moving. This is the second one we have purchased and it is a great product. The ability to vent air with the flick of a switch is very useful, the thermostat works quite well and the twin fans have a good amount of circulation power for a fan this size. I would recommend this fan to anyone.
