Customer Review: Wonderfully inventive design

I had a small credit here at Amazon, and needed a new shower curtain: ingenuity meets opportunity. I'd seen these kinds of shower curtains in a couple of motels recently, and liked them. Combined with an arc-type curtain rod, they are really pleasant to use. Actually superior to sliding glass shower doors. Very easy to put on and off.
I down rate it (to 4 stars) not because of any inherent flaw in the product, but really as a protest to Amazon's offerings. The manufacturer makes several models that include a snap-on vinyl liner. With those, the fabric drapes outside the tub, the vinyl goes inside. It snaps on about 2/3rds of the way up. And THAT is what I really wanted. But despite having about 50 offerings here, Amazon does not see fit to include ANY of those snap-on liner models (at least in late June, 2008 when I bought it). The plain fabric one is working fine at keeping water where it belongs, but I anticipate that -- sooner or later -- the mold will get to it where it tends to rest against the wet tub.
By the way, the arc-type curtain rod might not work for you if your bath is particularly tight and narrow. But if you have room for it, it really gives a lot more room where you need it -- at shoulder and head height -- making even a bathtub-based shower quite comfortable.
