There is one problem with these clothespins. The arch at the top of the clamp opening is too big. When thin clothing items are hung on a normal thickness line, the big arch, or radius, at the top of the jaws,(see the photo) prevents tight clamping, allowing the cloths to slide on the line. Our line is rather thick rope. The condition would be worse on a thin plastic clothes line.
Also, 72 clothes pins were more than we needed. The clothespins were delivered in several smaller count boxes. I wish we could have bought less and paid less.
They do make great overpriced "freshness clamps" for cereal bags, chips etc.
Update: After more use, I've found the design of these clothespins give poor holding power. Found towels had bunched up from sliding. After reclamping, at the tip of the jaws to stop the sliding, I later found the towels on the ground on this windy day.
I DO NOT recommend this product for use as clothespins.
