Customer Review: So good I ordered a replacement after my dog tore the first one up

So I kind of can't believe I'm leaving a review for a laundry hamper. Whatever, this thing is awesome. I bought one several months ago and on the first day I had it my dog ripped off the top canvas cover and one of the straps. And yet it still managed to handle all of my laundry at about 3 week intervals. I never counted the actual garments in there, but like I said it can hold three weeks' worth of clothes, and the most I ever stuffed in there was 22 pounds worth. And it handled this with ONE STRAP. The strap did end up snapping at some point but I just knotted them together and it was good to go. Ghetto I know.
Unfortunately it met its demise when I left a muddy towel at the bottom for a bit too long. Some moldy looking stuff formed on the canvas bottom but didn't seem to affect my clothes at all. That's my bad though. Don't leave criminally dirty things to sit for a month, and you won't have that problem. Prior to this the hamper was always nice and clean.
K so you know the basics of this. It has the volume and strength to handle a single dude's laundry needs for three full weeks. Some people have mentioned that if you toss in a piece of clothing and miss it will collapse...that completely depends on the article of clothing and how you throw it. T-shirts, underwear, and socks will just hang off the side, maybe making it lean a little bit. Jeans tossed in a high arc will in fact make it collapse. That is easily remedied by walking three steps and nudging the garment inside, and then the hamper returns to its proud stature with a resounding WHOOOSH sound*
I can't comment on the compactness because I never use it. I just have the hamper set up in a corner of my room and dump my clothes into it. But when you compress it down and secure it with the very sturdy button mechanism, it's about the size of a pizza tin. So anywhere in your house you could store a pizza tin you could store this thing.
So yeah when I had to eventually toss this, I immediately went on Amazon and ordered another one to replace it. Got it in today and it's in the corner doing its duty. Highly recommended. Mesh-style bags are flimsy and tear too easily in my experience, and plastic hampers are just unwieldy. Give this one a go, and your grumbling-laundry-day self will thank you for it.

Easy to use and convenient, this pop-up hamper from whitney design can be easily transported from anywhere to the laundry room. It is made from poly/cotton natural canvas. The spring wire frame allows it to spring open to a 16-inch diameter by 25-inch height size. The lid opens and closes secured by a zipper. Carrying straps are located on both sides at the top of the hamper. When not in use, this hamper can be easily collapsed into a 16-inch diameter disc about 1-1/2-inch in height for easy storage.The natural canvas look of this laundry hamper allows it to fit unobtrusively into the corner of a bedroom or bathroom. When the two toggle buttons on the bottom are employed, the hamper lies flat for storage or shipping; when released, the hamper springs to its full 16-by-25-inch cylindrical shape. The neat thing about the lid is the zipper along one half. When zipped closed, a slit allows smaller items of clothing to be stuffed in. When unzipped, the flap folds back for admitting voluminous items such as sheets and allows contents to be easily scooped out.
When the hamper is full, two cloth-tape handles along the side allow it to be conveniently carried to the laundry room. The handles are thoughtfully designed long enough for both to be held in one hand. Any dirt on the bag can be sponged off with a little soap and water.
