Tools and Hardware Reviews of Household Essentials 3-Arm Portable Umbrella Clothing Dryer

Customer Review: Love, love, love it!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I received my clothesline this week and absolutely love it. It's very sturdy and handles a good amount of laundry. I read that someone was able to hang their sheets on their line. I have not tried this yet and it does seem too small for sheets...maybe you fold them in half??? otherwise, It does not tip over easy, and is very sturdy. I live in a cluster home community with a small back yard. I have beautiful gardens and view and did not want to have a permanent clothes line installed. I love the smell of fresh outdoor dryed clothes. This clothes line was the perfect solution and exceeded my expectations. I would recommend buying this item. I ordered from AAA home furniture discounts and it arrived in 6 days. If you're on the fence about buying this, do it. You'll be happy.

Customer Review: good for outdoor apartment balcony
Summary: 5 Stars

I live in a high floor apartment in a warm climate. This dryer is doing a good job. Treating it gently i hope it lasts. It is light but stands well. Needs protection from strong winds. I try to balance load and use it mostly for jeans, towels and pieces that take longer to dry in dryer. The top part opens and closes easily, i leave the bottom part standing open.
Once out of the box it is sort of intuitive but it took me a few minutes to figure out that the top umbrella section had a short piece of cord tied around it which prevented it from opening. Remove that cord and it opens easily.
It's too bad that Amazon does not ship (except books ...) to Puerto Rico, so i had to buy it somewhere else. More expensive but good service too.

Customer Review: Seriously good product
Summary: 5 Stars

I've had this portable dryer for five months now and haven't used my electric dryer since. This is a really good product that holds up to three loads of laundry at a time (depending on how many shirts and towels of course). It holds my entire king sheets with no problem. It has tipped twice in the five months but it was my fault. I put to much heavy stuff on one side. I learned from my mistakes and don't forsee that being an issue again. Also, if you really want to ensure it won't tip on you by a couple two dollar bricks and they easily fit in the bottom area to ancor it down. But that would only be if you were really nervous. Also, it's short enough that you can use it indoors during the cold months. Seriously, its a great product.

Customer Review: Works Great!
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased the P1900 portable clothing dryer about a month ago after my electric dryer decided to stop working. I've used it several times since then.

It's easy to set up and take down. It will hold two large loads of laundry, but I find the ropes a little too close together to properly dry two large loads at once. I have never had a problem with it tipping over.

The fresh smell of clothing and sheets that have been dried outside can't be imitated by a chemical and perfume coated dryer sheet.

I love being able to take it down when I am finished with it. I slide it back into the original box and store it in the closet until the next time I need it.

Customer Review: Study the pictures
Summary: 5 Stars

The directions that come with the device are spotty. You have to proceed by studying the picture of the rack on the box, or the on-line one, to get the right configuration of the feet. But it is rather amazing how much laundry the thing will hold after assembly! (The most I've tried was three full loads, including two sets of sheets and several large towels, and that didn't fill it up.

Edited six months later: due to my own fault, I knocked the thing over and broke off one of the little plastic gizmos that hold the outer-most line. The company sent an entire new top, immediately, even though I told them it was my fault, I was only looking to buy another little plastic gizmo, etc. Nice? Yeah!
