Customer Review: motor hums

This fan replaced a 20 year old hunter fan. The motor on this one hums at the lower speeds. My old one didn't, but I needed an upgrade. I was told by my electrician that most of the cost of producing fans is spent on the motor. So, buy a more expensive Hunter fan. I bought the "Grand Isle" for my bedroom and it is much better and has a remote.
Ordering through Amazon and avoiding "Home Depot" is always the way to go. Both fans came on time and in perfect condition.
