Customer Review: Needs better quality control

I bought this Hunter fan because I thought it would add that 'extra touch' to the master bedroom. Looks great, but if I had known to check all pieces BEFORE the electrician started installing, it could have saved me a lot of money. These new fans have a squared 'grid' on the motor that snaps into the squared 'grid' on the light kit. The one on the motor was packaged so tightly that that plastic was bent, and we didn't know this until the electrician had done all the work and was ready to install the light. So the fan was no good and had to be replaced. Amazon was great about FedExing me a replacement fan, but the electrician still had to be paid for his time. Not considering the time it took to take this down, package it back up, drag it to work for UPS to pick it up to mail it back to Amazon. Then the electrician has to be brought back to install the replacement fan. A lot of wasted money and time that could have been avoided if Hunter had packaged properly. By the way, got the Hunter remote with this (27185), and the fan and lights come on all times of the day and night. So now the electrician comes BACK to take out the remote component so that the fan can just work manually.
