We bought two of these - one for each of the kids' bedrooms. The first few nights after my husband installed it, our boys assaulted it. Throwing toys, pillows, and clothes into the blades is apparently great fun, especially when you're supposed to be sleeping. My husband checked the mount and blades every time, and it's still perfectly balanced. My kids even stuck their fingers into it, despite our countless warnings against it, and while the blades spin amazingly fast, they didn't hurt my 3 or 4 year olds' hands. We've added longer cords, but aside from that, this thing is perfect right out of the box! I think we're going to buy 2 more for other rooms in the house!
