The box includes a mat of the air filter media large enough to cut at least six replacement filters for my particular unit. Unfortunately, it does not include a template but recommended you use the dirty one in your unit for fit. This, of course, leaves dirt on the new filter as well as your table, scissors, and person. Not the most convenient. I would be glad to pay a couple extra dollars if Hunter would first, precut them to my specific size, and second, let people know they will get more than one filter from this box. The price is a bit alarming until you realize it's more than one replacement filter and quite the value when you get six. Overall, I am happy with my Hunter air purifier and the ease of replacement. Yes, yes, I used the new clean filter as a template for cutting the remaining filter media!Customer Review: Not the same

This is a review for the product I received from Bulkfilter.com, not the actual Hunter 30901 product which I would rate at five stars.
It didn't come in the Hunter box, which made me suspicious. Opening it, I found the weave much tighter than the Hunter product. This will reduce air flow. It is also thinner than the Hunter product, which will offset that slightly. The Hunter product makes little crumbs of activated charcoal, which this one does not, making it questionable whether it is an activated charcoal filter for odor control.
If they are selling a generic filter, they should note that and people can choose whether they want that or the Hunter product. They shouldn't call it a Hunter 30901, because it isn't.

Found the best price on Amazon.com, searched Lowe's, Home Depot and even Hunter's website. They were easy to find when searching Hunter replacemenet filters on Amazon. They arrived very fast, even though we used Super Saver shipping and it was supposed to take longer. We got two; (3) months worth of filtering from this one Carbon Pre-filter purchase (you have to cut it to size)and it works out great when changing the main filter every (6) months (see other review). And best of all, my previous purchases are saved on Amazon, so when I need to reorder, it's a snap! Hope this helps someone.....Customer Review: A hard-to-find item for a good price

I have a Hunter air purifier that I have owned for many years. It has become increasingly hard to find pre-filters for it, since no stores in my area carry them. I used to purchase them on-line from one supplier, but the prices seemed to be a little higher than what I wanted. Then I found I could get them from Amazon for a very competitive price, with free shipping. This is the original Hunter Brand material (at least that's what I received). It's good quality prefilter carbon fiber and I was able to cut 2 complete filters for my Hunter Model #30057 from just one box of material. I have 3 Model #30057 Units and since I bought 3 quantities of this item, these 3 boxes yielded me 2 filters for each unit. I also have an older and much smaller desktop Holmes Unit that needed a new prefilter and all the leftover scraps from this material is enough to keep the Holmes Unit in prefilters for the next year!
