Replaced an older fan which was noisy and didn't move much air unless set to the highest speed (where it added vibration to the noise). The new Hunter is silent (all you can hear is the blades moving the air) and is totally vibration free without installing the balancing kit. Customer Review: Very quiet

Replace our son's fan with this new one and he loves it because it is quiet and doesn't keep him up. He has a large room so the larger blades help keep the room cool.
