I've had this fan for over two and one-half years now, and have found it to be a quality product. It's obviously a basic fan, with no fancy bells or whistles. My last fan was a digitally controlled one, which I purchased online through a well-known big-box store. I found it to have a very annoying hum, which was one reason why I decided to switch to this pull cord only fan. Also, having a low ceiling with a somewhat small area, I decided that a "ceiling hugger" model would fit the bill. I had read good reviews for this fan, and so, at this reasonable price, I decided that it was worth a try. I'm glad I did, because it has met my needs in a fan. Installation was fairly easy as fans go, and the instructions were relatively clear. The materials were of sturdy construction, and have stayed in good condition since the purchase/installation date. There has never been any wobble at any of the three speeds, and any hum is, at most, barely noticeable. I would recommend this product.Customer Review: Installation design flaw

This is a nice ceiling fan, but a design flaw in installation components can complicate its installation. Unless you can cut an 8" hole in your ceiling dry wall and recess the ceiling mounting bracket 1/2" into the drywall you are going to have a 1/2" space between the top of the fan housing and the finished ceiling. This is caused by a poorly designed mounting bracket. The only other way to get around cutting a larger hole in your drywall is to purchase or make a decorative ceiling circle to fill in this 1/2" void between the finished ceiling and the top of the fan housing. I made my own, but that turned a 2 hour job into a 4 day event. Sometimes I wonder if the people who design these products have ever tried installing them. By the way, this fan is advertised as having plastic blades-actually the blades are made of MDF (medium density fiberboard). 4 stars instead of 5 because of the installation difficulties.Customer Review: Good quiet little fan

Bought 2 of these for the kids rooms and one 52 inch for master bedroom. Good, quiet fan, with low profile, quality look, and fairly easy to insatll. Know your tradoff though.
Low profile = less air movement
We had a problem with the speed pull cord initially where instead of going Off->High->Med->Low it did something funky like Off->High->Off->Low->Medium it was very annoying as you were always guessing which off it was in. Anyway Hunter send a replacement module and it has worked perfectly since then.
One other person mentioned this and i concur that it doesn't sit completely fulsh with the ceiling. It hasn't bothered us though, we just really like having nice ceiling fans!

We normally love Hunter ceiling fans. They stay quite and are great for years.
But.....this one was defective, the center part of motor hangs crooked which makes the fan rub and make noise when it is on.
I have requested a replacement and the request said I would be notified by Amazon Customer Service and it has been 5 day and have heard NOTHING from them. Maybe this will get a response.
I have found NO WAY to contact Amazon via email or any other way, so I am wondering if purchasing from Amazon was a mistake??????
What to do??????

Customer Review: Perfect for a bedroom fan

I bought this fan for a bedroom after I got a new bed that was very high. The previous ceiling fan would come a little too close when sitting up in bed. This little gem provided more than enough clearance and still moved a good amount of air.
I have this fan in a bedroom that's 10x12', so it's not huge, and this fan does a nice job of circulating the air in the room without being too loud, and the white blends nicely into the ceiling.
This low profile fan is perfect for people low ceilings, or just want to keep the fan out of the way.
