I purchased this same fan last summer and have been looking to get a second one for my son. These fans are the best proximity fan I have ever had. I am over 40 and frequently warmer than others. I bought the first fan for myself in a bronze finish. I found a red one on another site, but it was not appropriate for the space I was looking to use it, but when I found the black and silver, it fit the order. My son had really enjoyed having it for his room. I recommend this attractive and relatively quiet table top model.Customer Review: ok fan, play your music a little louder.

I bought this fan because I liked the design and know hunter puts out pretty good quality stuff. After a few weeks, I've come to realize that this is a pretty noisy fan. It oscilates pretty fast and blows well, but you will hear it. Not really worth the cost for the design if that is a big deal to you. It appears to be well built, but with the technology that we have now, you'd think they'd be able to make a fan quieter. Oh well, I still have the fan on, but just have to play my music a little louder.Customer Review: Sounds Like a Jet Taking Off

This is the first product I purchased from Amazon that I have sent back for a refund. I was very disappointed with this Hunter fan. The product was packed well and had no visible damage. The reviews and word of mouth about Hunter fans led me to believe that this fan would be "Whisper Quiet". The unit did have power and circulated air efficiently but it was so loud it was annoying even on the lowest speed. This is a tough little fan. My husband and I was very surprise in the way how it was constructed. We looked it over for plastic parts and nun was detected. I am going to perches a few more. For those who think that the fan is a bit loud try this, put a towel or a peace of flat Foam under it to absorb vibrations and that should eliminate some noise transferring directly on to the surface you have it on. This is a very pretty fan, and the construction seems to be very good. Glossy black paint over smooth metal. I planned to use it in my bedroom (I have a small house). However, it is quite noisy, and I am not sure I can sleep with it. Will try it in Summer, perhaps I can get used to the noise. It is also a little smaller than I expected. Nevertheless, it is very good looking so if you are looking for something interesting to display to visitors, this might do.
