We liked this product so much we bought 12! We installed 8 where we have fairly high ceilings in the garage and then 4 in the space right above where the garage door opens to store smaller things (lumber and smaller boxes).
Fairly easy to install, although not trivial and box is quite heavy. Not overly rigid and they do sway a bit if you push them, but they work really well and have given us A LOT of extra storage space where we used to just have dead space. They also aren't the prettiest things in the world so I doubt we'd put them anywhere besides the garage.
But they work great and hold lots of weight. Highly recommended.
And Amazon's free shipping (and low cost $59.99) makes them a great value. Delivery is particularly nice since they they're so heavy.

Buy this unit and you won't regret it. I've managed to make my garage look AMAZINGLY clean and uncluttered now.
Make sure your ceiling load will support it (most will) and that you find the joint running directions before installing. Also, don't push the limit of height before it hits the garage door opener. Many door openers have a lot of torque and will damage the garage door as well as the hangers. I bought 4 units, installed them quickly and easily. Make sure you sink BOTH screws into the joists or you could eventually have things falling onto your cars one day/night.
Powder coated white metal is of good quality. Looks like stainless steel bolts, or at least nickel plated.
You can store a lot on these things, and some pretty heavy ones even...

We have a 1960's ranch home; pretty typical and pretty standard. Although the garage ceiling/roof hasn't been sheet-rocked I read the reviews and directions here and thought "That'll work." Unfortunately it didn't work out that way.
Yes, it will work on pitched ceilings, but they would have to be a pretty shallow slope - ours is far less than 45 degrees (around 25) and the supports simply weren't long enough on one end or short enough on the other to adjust. It's a shame really as the system itself seems very, very well constructed.
Oh, and like another reviewer mentioned, the screws will go in just fine if you remember to prepare the screws with a little old fashioned bar soap. Once the threads are coated it'll zip right in. (And out again in our case!)

Having recently moved from a NY Home (with a shed and basement) to Texas (where basement is spelled G A R A G E) this system wasn't just a nice thing to have it was a requirement. In fact I now own 4 systems. You may wish to check other reviews for additional instructions, but basically if you can find the studs these systems install rather quickly. BTW, I own one of those ladders that change into scaffolding . . that made the job tons easier, you might think of borrowing one if you don't own one. The systems arrived through AMAZON quickly and the instructions were easy to follow. MUST HAVE A STUD FINDER. The job would have been nearly impossible without one. They are worth every penny. I've got my basement\garage back and am enjoying the great country\state of Texas!!Customer Review: Finally, they're up and working great!!!

UPDATE ON PREVIOUS REVIEW-Finally found someone to help me install these in my garage and they are wonderful. I have so much space in there I can go shopping for more stuff now! Would love to change my rating to 5 stars but it won't let me :(
Previous Review: When I saw these as the GOLD BOX item, I thought that my storage problems had been solved so I ordered two. They arrived quickly and I was excited to get them together and installed however the man of the house informed me they would not work in our garage because low ceiling and the weight. I have taken him at his word (best friend thinks he just didn't want to have to install them!) but may attempt to install one myself just to see, if it works I'll bump my rating up.
