After my husband used the tool for the first time, something on it (can't remember exactly what it was) came apart. It wasn't any problem for him to fix it. It's not used often, but they are great for fishing out things that have fallen into drains, vents, or whatever else things fall into. We like the fact that it is extra long and bendable.
