Customer Review: Definitely helps with my carpal tunnel

As a preface to this comment, I have carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel in both arms/wrists and thoracic outlet syndrome, all of which I've had for periods ranging from 6 months to 3 years, so I'm no stranger to ergonomic devices and hold them to extremely high and stringent standards.
I used to leave work every day with extremely numb wrists/palm bases, but these wrist supports, with their micro-bead palm rests, conform to the shape of my palm and distribute the force the desk exerts on them much more evenly and comfortably. I still leave work with slightly numb wrists and palm bases, but it's made a marked difference in severity. I would highly recommend this to anyone with OR WITHOUT wrist problems - they're comfortable, breathable, and will really help to alleviate some of the RSI symptoms associated with typing.

My job involves constant use of the computer. I was experiencing worsening wrist pain when I decided to try the SmartGlove. I combined this with a the Evoluent vertical mouse. Both the glove and the mouse (especially the mouse) took a little getting used to. Results were not immediate, but the wrist pain was almost completely gone several weeks later, and has not regressed after neary a year. I can't say for sure which has had the greater effect, so I would recommend getting both. If there is one negative with the SmartGlove, it is that your hand, and the glove, can get a little sweaty if it is warm in your office. However, mine has gone through numerous machine washings, and has retained its size, shape, and firmness throughout. Although I like this wrist support, I think my wrist is beyond repair as my elbow and my upper arm also hurt. But I use it anyway to keep the wrist straight while I am typing. I enter hotel reservations all day long, and then have to type post and assignments in my online class. My arm, shoulder and neck needs more support.
The beads on the palm of my hand keep making me type in wrong letters and after awhile it is annoying so I take it off for an hour or so to let my hand breathe.
Not sure if I would buy this again. I am currently looking for another wrist support before my elbow really gives me problems.

I bought this because the heel of my hand was always sore from resting on the hard keyboard tray. A friend who had had carpal tunnel surgery told me about this support glove and that there is a small pouch on the underside that has little styro balls in it that makes the whole thing quite comfy. I had tried a small cushion with the styro balls and it worked, but kept falling off my keyboard. This does the job and no more soreness.Customer Review: Life saver indeed

I had bought multiple items to mitigate my wrist pain by continued use of computer mouse -- mouse pads with wrist support, and then this from IMAK.
I do not even remember where the other one is, but carry IMAK between work and home on a daily basis now. I'll thinking of buying three more (one for left hand, and two more so I do not have to carry them between work and home).
