I dropped a little extra cash on this and it was worth it. I even installed it myself! I really take pride in that because I'm not known to be handy around the house. It was actually pretty easy and took me under an hour. I got a little confused by the different rings and measurements, but that's because I'm a little slow. InSinkErator has a hotline you can call, on a Saturday! They straightened me out and I had it running within minutes of hanging up the phone.
Quiet, powerful, and I love the safety cover control.

Over the past 79 years InSinkErator has been known for building the worlds best food waste disposers. Today, the new Evolution Series disposers represent the highest standard in performance. Simply put, they are the best grinding, quietest line of disposers ever made. The Evolution Series disposers introduce new technologies, MultiGrind and SoundSeal, that address the two most common requests we've heard over the years; improved grinding ability and reduced noise. MultiGrind is a two stage technology that enables you to quickly grind food waste significantly better than you could in any previous disposer. It efficiently grinds problem foods such as celery and potato peels. SoundSeal Plus is a combination of advanced sound insulation and anti-vibration components that reduce noise levels by 60% compared to standard disposers. The Evolution Cover Control model offers the extra assurance of covered operation. This unit contains a special Magnetic CoverStart Activation feature. The disposer will not activate until the cover goes on. It has a 40 ounce stainless steel grind chamber and grind components and contains a 3/4 HP Dura-Drive induction motor. The Dura Drive motor is a powerful, heavy duty motor designed and manufactured by InSinkErator to the exacting specifications found in major appliances such as washers and dryers. These motors help ensure high performance and long life. The Evolution Cover Control also comes with a InSinkErator Quick Lock Sink Mount. Available only from InSinkErator the "Twist On and Twist Off" mount makes installation easy and fast. Just twist off the old one and twist on the new one.
