Tools and Hardware Reviews of Indus-Tool TT Toasty Toes Ergonomic Heated Footrest

Customer Review: F*ck you winter
Summary: 5 Stars

I should have bought one of these 4 years ago. I tend to spend much of my free time at my computer(especially in the winter). I used to wrap my feet in blankets, although that is more energy efficient than this it would take so long for them to warm up. With Toasty Toes I turned it on and within a few minuets I have warm feet, and about 15 mins later they are really warm. I wear a size 11.5US shoe(mens) and my feet this with about 1 inch to spare. If your feet are bigger than mine there is plenty of room on the sides to angle your feet so they do fit; heck right now I'm warming my feet and drying off my shoes that got wet in the rain today. If you are really cheap you could turn your heat way down and sit across from your roommate and both of you could share one of these.
The only con. The plastic doesn't feel super thick so I'm going to return the hammer I bought for putting this through a durability test.
Buy it.

Customer Review: If You Have Cold Feet About This Product, Trust Them
Summary: 1 Stars

I have long been searching for a product that would keep my feet, ankles and legs warm at work. There is always a frosty draft blowing along the floor of my office and I am uncomfortable all day. Space heaters and fans always blow upward, leaving my feet and ankles in the cold. I was skeptical about this particular product but really wanted to believe all the positive reviews. I'm sorry I did. The panel barely warms up. If you're not making direct contact with it, it's almost worthless. I wanted to use mine as a vertical heat panel, which is a documented option. Keep in mind that this thing supposedly "radiates" - there is no fan. Well, a 150W radiation panel (which is the maximum setting by the way) is barely more than a light bulb. Unfortunately, this product doesn't perform as described and is way overpriced. If you are the least bit apprehensive about buying this product, you should be. Don't waste your money.

Customer Review: Five weeks in use.
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought two of these, one for my wife, one for me. My wife uses hers mostly for the stand-up heater. I read all the reviews before I bought. The assembly of the two legs was easy and the directions very clear. I read the reviews about it being "cheap plastic". I don't know how "cheap" it is, but yes it is plastic. We don't jump on them or abuse them...so far, no problems. What might be construed as a problem is the amount of heat it puts out. Well duh, you bought a heater!
After a while, it does get too hot for my bare feet, so I put a towel on it. If it is still too warm, I turn it off for a while. Am I getting too logical? Doesn't have a thermostat or remote control...it's a heater, not a computer. Would the extras be nice, sure, but then the price would have to go up. Would I recommend this, definitely.

Customer Review: happy feet
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought this product for my home office. In the past I have worn multiple socks or turned up the heat in the entire house, just to keep my feet warm. The Indus foot warmer maintains constant high heat and it is easy to set up. Sometimes I have gone to bed and accidentally left it on, but there has never been a problem. My feet love it. I have not had it for a very long time, but I get the impression it is built to last. I don't think it is energy rated but it still saves me from turning up the heat. There are two settings, a pleasant foot warming setting and then a heat panel setting which gets pretty hot. I would supervise small children, the frail elderly and those with mobility impairments with this device - I like the high heat but it may get a little hot for others.

Customer Review: Warm feet, finally
Summary: 4 Stars

I almost always have cold feet and hands. My fiance got me a massaging footwarmer from Brookstone for a Christmas present - wonderful idea, but it did not get very warm, so I returned it. I did further research on a variety of products, and this one had the best reviews. The other reviews were very helpful, and I am pleased with this product. No unpleasant odors or sounds like people report with other products, and it definitely keeps my feet warm. I agree with other reviewers that it gets a little too hot at times, but I've solved that by wearing socks or slippers while using it and moving my feet around a little bit every once in a while. Bottom line: while a few features could improve this product, it seems to be the best out there for the price.
