Tools and Hardware Reviews of Indus-Tool FWXXX Cozy Electric Foot Warming PadCustomer Review: Indus-Tool Cozy Electric Foot Warming Pad is worth EVERY CENT Summary: 5 Stars
If your floor is cold and your feet are cold and your shoes are cold this will help! The pad doesn't run Hot like a space heater. If that's what you want, buy a space heater. It should be used to boost comfort in an area with cold floors. Specifically under your desk or computer desk.
1. Use this foot warmer (if very cold use a space heater till you warm up some.
2. Take off shoes and put on pad - upside down
3. Put sock feet on pad
4. Wait till feet feel warm
5. Wait till shoes feel warm on the inside
6. Put shoes back on (if you feel you must wear shoes)
7. Turn off space heater and continue using foot warmer pad
Remember-- The foot warmer is NOT A SPACE HEATER. If you want a space heater BUY A SPACE HEATER. If you want to maintain or warm up your feet, USE THIS PRODUCT and you will be very happy!
Customer Review: i like it, it works, it does not smell Summary: 5 Stars
As many others have said, I have had no problem at all with the smell. Maybe there are different batches of these things, or maybe they fixed the problem. I agree it gets very warm, even with shoes on, so I did what the last reviewer suggested and bought a lamp dimmer, and that works great (thanks!).It's amazing how something so simple and inexpensive can improve one's quality of life so much. Thank God for the free market! I have struggled with this problem for years. I work at the computer in my basement, and live in Colorado, so you can imagine. We even installed a small gas fireplace down here, which is SO much more expensive to run than this little thing (and also cost about $2K or $3K to install), and doesn't keep my feet nearly as warm! I'm still glad I have the fireplace for overall warmth, but I don't have to use it nearly as often.
Customer Review: Great Foot Warmer Summary: 4 Stars
I've purchased two of these within 3 years. The first one was for my husband for under his computer desk located in the basement family room. The mat gets really warm (it was designed for open warehouses) and has no thermostat, so we put a piece of heavy cardboard between it and the carpet for protection. Also, the lack of an off-on switch is a negative: you have to plug it in and out to turn it off and on. NON THE LESS, I don't think he'd give it up.
The other mat I purchased was a 2006 Christmas gift for a son-in-law to use in his garage workshop. I've had no reports back yet, but his comment upon opening it was: "Oh boy, now I won't have to quit just because my feet are cold!" I don't know what adding an of-on switch and a thermostat would do to the selling price, but those features would sure add to the convenience.
Customer Review: Wonderful Product! Summary: 5 Stars
Great price for starters! Fast Shipping! and best of WARM FEET!
I brought this mat to the office and no one has mentioned anything about a smell/odor! It is warmed rubber so there is a slight odor if you try to smell for it, otherwise I don't notice anything. I have it under my desk at work where my legs/feet get cold...not anymore! You have to buy the hi/lo switch to go along with it because then you can set it on hi or lo which I usually put it on high but it does get pretty hot after awhile (in bare feet)normally I keep my shoes on. The hi/lo switch is great so that you don't have to get on the floor to unplug it when you aren't using it, instead just flip the switch, simple! A+++
No complaints! The hi/lo switch needed to be turned to an angle to get into the mat plug in but other than that no problems.
Customer Review: Just warm enough Summary: 4 Stars
My office is on ground level with a concrete floor. During the winter, my feet would be cold to the point that they would ache. A regular space heater was too hot when running under my desk - my feet would sweat when it was on and freeze when it was off. This product is a great solution for me. It keeps my feet warm without making them too hot (I'm using it with my shoes on).
I was concerned about the rubber smell others reported being a problem (my wife says I have a bionic nose). There was a mild rubber smell for the first day or two, but there is no smell now.
The only minor complaint I have is that the on/off toggle switch is a bit difficult to use with my foot - a larger push button switch would be ideal.
I woud recommend this product without hesitation.
