I absolutely love this light and I've bought 3 of them. The reason I love them so much is that they are so small and light weight that I can always have them with me, yet they're spectacularly bright! It's true they use up their batteries, but I haven't found this to be more frequent than other LED lights I have. Best of all, they take standard CR2016 batteries, which you can typically get for 99 cents each, so every couple of weeks I just put in new batteries.
It is true that at least once the light turned on in my pocket, killing its batteries. And I keep the light in an outer pocket by itself, so I can see that if you kept this light in your pocket with, say, your keys then it would be a huge problem.
I do wish it didn't shine so much peripheral light, although in some situations that's useful as you can light the floor by your feet and what's ahead of you. But for me nothing else can beat it, and I tried many other mini LED lights before I found these.
