OK, I admit it. From the time I was 6 or 7, I have always liked flashlights. And I hate the idea of never being able to find a flashlight when I need one so I keep several (many) of them around the house. Five or six years ago, I had a bunch of Maglights. You know, those big things that also doubled as a self defense weapon. These are very sturdy and dependable, but alas they are old technology. Then along came LED flashlights. I now have several of this type and the difference is night and day. I think this particular model (X03) is simply the best flashlight out there. It is well made, produces what seems like 5 times as much illumination as the old Maglight and is so much smaller. If I could afford it, I would dump all my other flashlights and replace them all with these. Really. The only negative is that this model is now made in China. Sigh. It seems most everything is these days. Still, I can't ding the product for where it was made.Customer Review: Inova flashlights

The Inova 5.8 watt flashlight works as advertised. The construction is first rate, and the focused beam output works very well at our new country side property in Southern Illinois. Using a higher output white light is ideal for our use, as I take our two dogs out a couple times each night. Our dogs are trained to keep close by the highly visible Inova light, which I carry.
Most wildlife will stop in their tracks when this light is directed into their eyes. A very useful tact to protect our dogs from becoming someones prey. The construction should make this light last for several years of country side living. These lights are pricey, but under the constant use at our home it's become a very welcome tool. Inova makes a high quality product that I'd be glad, as a retired mechanical engineer, to endorse.

I have been buying flashlights for many years, kind of like the old home improvement idea of "more power." I bought a 1 watt, then a 2 watt, and finally a 3 watt. None of them were exceptional. Finally, I saw this product (and the price); I read a bunch of reviews and the only negative thing I could find was the shortness of the battery life. That's because the flashlight actually REALLY illuminates the area it shines on. It's the best one I have ever had by far. As to the battery life, so far mine has held up well (but I probably have less than an hour on it). My only mild complaint is I would prefer a button to turn it on; you twist the back part of the handle to get it to function. All in all, it appears well made, and it does what it says it will do: Shines a high power light.Customer Review: Great flashlight

Great flashlight in every way.
Small, sleek, powerful. Perfect for everyday use as well as camping and hunting. Would be afraid to use it on a boat because it will go straight to the bottom.
Uses a single, very bright, white Led, and 2 CR123 batteries.
I had another 5 Led flashlight which I thought was bright until I got this one.
Be sure to buy your cr123 batteries online because they are much cheaper than a store.
If you know of a better one, please let me know.

After recently purchasing an Inova XO as a gift, I decided on the XO3 for myself. WOW! I thought the XO was bright! The XO3 smothers out the wash from the XO like it's not even there, and the XO is also a great light! I use this light for hiking at night, crawling around in people's attics at work and any other reason you'd need a light. I have bought many lights over the years and trust me, this is the best light for the money. It even has pretty good throw, which is not an LED's strong point. Nice white, crisp light as well.
