I purchased this product at a retail store and for the first several weeks it worked like a charm. However, the surface gradually began holding more and more water droplets, and becoming foggy as well, to the point where even from a few inches away I was unable to see my face clearly to shave. I thought that given the retail price I might have a defective item and took it back to exchange it for a new one, but the same thing has happened. After reading other reviews here, I see that it's the product itself that's defective, and not just the two that I've used. This item is packaged in that terrible almost-impossible-to-open hard plastic packaging with absolutely no instructions or advice on cleaning or using fog-free cleaner or other products to maintain its condition (I checked thoroughly with the second one I got). Very disapoointing and not at all recommended - spend your money on something with a better review. Retail stores should not stock this item.
