Although on the website the cover plate for this timer APPEARED to be metal (which is what I desperately wanted), it is sadly, like most everything else today, plastic. However, it does achieve a "metal look" and I love the ways it's working so far. Last, I did notice that there was no ground on the wiring, which seems a bit strange by today's standards.
