Customer Review: Confusing programming, new model better

I had purchased one of these timers and used it successfully for a simple timing issue. I then purchsed two more for more complex programming...
When they say 7 days 7 events you might think you could do 49 events. It doesn't work that way.
It has a daily setting, a weekday setting (all five days), and a weekend setting (two days). Turning it on is a setting, and so is turning it off. So setting the week days to come on and then go off once is two settings. Setting EACH weekday to go on and off is 10 settings. But you only have seven to work with.
For example I wanted something to go on and off in the morning and on and off in the evening which was fine but Friday had a different schedule. It wont do that because each individual day is four settings.
Anyway, after two calls to intermatic to understand this it became apparent that they buy this unit from someone else and have a better version of their own now.
My advice...steer clear.
