What can we say, they're plastic but overall I think it's a good product at a great price. Assembly is required, though not very complicated. We added the 20 lights around a new landscape project, in addition to the existing 8 x 11 watt set in the yard already.
They look great, the spotlights are especially night to highlight large rocks and ornamental trees.
They may only be 4 watt, but they are nearly as bright as my year old 11 watt ones. Easy to install and program. You may need to buy additional cable depending on where you install them - 50 feet is $9 at local home stores.

If you complained regarding this product, get a clue. It is a great value for $50. Yeah, it takes about an hour to assemble everything and it will take you a few hours to set up in your yard but if you invest the time, you WILL get great results.
It is what it is, if you think you are getting professional grade high voltage landscape lighting, you are not. If you want something durable, safe and good looking for a great price you are in the right place. Addtionally, parts for these lights are readily accessible at most major home improvement stores so that is HUGE plus.

This set was great and way better than the solar versions that cast off hardly any light at all. My husband put this together and installed it in 1 afternoon and the results were exactly what we were looking for.
It's far sturdier than the other sets we saw at Home Depot, and better yet, all the stuff needed to complete the project came in the box. You have to put the lights together, but that was the most time-consuming piece of the process.
I'm considering buying a second set for other areas of the landscaping; this is a great set and well worth the money we spent.

The original transformer sent with this unit was defective. It made a loud humming noise you could hear about 50 feet away. Also the wire sent with this unit is way too light of a guage. The kit had 18 ga and it should be at least 12 ga. I only put 14 lights on a 88 watt transformer (max 4w lights at 22 lights) had over 4 volts drop along the 100 foot line. The lights are a good value at $45 and work as advertised, but do not expect elegance .. your garden will never win the "Best Garden of the Month" contest in your community.
The box comes with many, many parts but they all fit together if you follow instructions. The adjustable plastic lens on the spot/flood lights is a joke and seldom adjusts or focuses the beam on objects more than 3 feet away.
This was a replacement for an assortment of solar landscape lights that regularly failed. Hope this old fashioned string of lights lasts longer.
