We needed light around our house but every store we went to only had 100 watt transformers. We didn't want 2 or 3 of these plugged in on different sides of the house, so this seemed to be the right idea. One box many lights, and when you use LED landscape lights you can use even more lights. It works great because when it turns on, ALL lights come on, you don't have to wonder if transformer 2 or 3 will work/is working.Customer Review: Landscape Timer

The timer is of better design than the one it replaced, which was also a Malibu product. The one thing that changed, and I don't understand why, is the location of the mounting screw/holes. Malibu decided to change the hole location, so when I went to replace the old one with the new one, I had to relocate one of the mounting screws. Not a big deal, but Malibu should know better.Customer Review: rotted out

This is a typical Made in China device. Within a year, it rotted out on the bottom and started causing a lot of electrical problems with our house. It's very dangerous having cheaply made electronics. I then bought a Hampton Bay one--also made in China. That lasted almost a year before it just stopped working. It was delivered on time and works as advertised. Only thing that prevented a five star rating is the packaging. Intermatic has been around for a long time. I had hoped they would have improved the packaging to be more weather proof. YOU JUST ADD UP ALL YOUR LIGHT WATTAGE, AND NOT TO GO OVER 300 WATTS, AND YOU ARE GOOD TO GO WITH YOUR INSTALLATION. PLUS AMAZON SOLD IT AT A WONDERFUL PRICE. THIS TOWER OF POWER WAS RIGHT ON TIME FOR THE SUMMER.
