I have had this for almost a year now and it works great. This power pack is encased in a metal jacket and has a flip up metal cover. It has an easy to set adjustable timer with multiple on and off settings. It is a little on the heavy side, so I would recommend some good anchors to secure it. I have 200 feet of wire running from the front of the house to the backyard, lighting up both areas and there is no lost of strength on the lights. All lights are evenly bright. The transformer is very compact, although its a little heavy, but it is very quiet compared to the other transformers I have bought before. I bought a packaged set of Malibu lights and decided to extend the run and add more lights. I quickly realized that I had exceeded the 60 watt output of the transformer that came with it and needed more juice. This unit was very well priced and I don't think I'll ever outgrow it. This was purchased to replace a 100-W unit that was unable to support our garden lighting. This timer is heavy duty construction, though looks sleek and very professional. The Malibu Intermatic Timer is the best for landscape lighting. I added more 11v landscape lights to my outside lights, so I needed a 300 watt transformer. It is easy to install...screw the two wires on the back and plug it in. It does make a little noise but it turns the lights on/off automatically.
