For the price, this alarm works great (at least in a motohome). I set it and forget it. It is not loud enough like a horn that wakes up the neighborhood, but it will wake up the intruder and my family. I liked it so much that I purchased two spares for the future. I purchased this based on the great recommendations and i am dispointed. after just a couple days it has already fallen. So if you et it you will need double sided tape. very irritating. otherwise noise level is good...you would definitely hear it if someone tried to break in.

I bought these for my mother who lives alone for her windows & doors. They were easy to install and I did use velcro to hang them instead of the supplied glue strips due to other reviews stating they fell after a short period of time. I got these for my college daughter's first apartment. They are easy to put in place and make a loud piercing noise if the window is opened. We bought alarms for each of our windows. All but two of them worked out of the box. When we wrote this fact to Amazon, they quickly made the replacement operation happen in just a few days. Great work, Amazon. Buying from Amazon is safe and dollar-wise, in my experience.
