Had ours going everyday for over a year now (for decorative/accent lighting in the living room and kitchen), set to turn on when we wake up and turn off around bedtime. They get warm, but not hot, after an hour or two.
Haven't noticed any issues with it keeping time (it turns on at 6 and off at 10).
That said, a month after buying them I saw a similar 2-pack at a large orange DIY big box store, for about 2/3 the cost here at Amazon.
They're definitely NOT 3-pronged, so I don't know how heavy duty they are. But they handle lights drawing power all day just fine.
