Lightning zapped my original Malibu Transformer. This is THE ORIGINAL replacement. True, sometimes you can find a whole new kit for just a few dollars more but if the rest of your setup is in good shape as mine was, the Transformer/Timer got me going again in just a few days.Customer Review: ML88T Screws

Unit works properly however the turn down wire fastener screws are shipped in separate small plastic bag enclosed with timer. The screws would not thread up to timer and had to retro fit with proper screws from hardware store .Metric thread was not correct thread, frustrating.Customer Review: Malibu transformer

The transformer replaced the original that lasted about 6 years and was used every day. I look forward to the same service from this one as it is identical. This power pack works well. I had a lower wattage power pack trying to service too many lights and it kept failing. Since I have replaced the original it has worked very well. Moral is don't overload a power pack. It does work as specified.Customer Review: Only lasted 2 years

I bought this as a new, separate 88 watt unit along with 5 separate lights (which only totaled 50 watts). The installation was simple enough and worked well but it would get pretty warm to the touch. The timer portion only lasted 2 years.
