I originally purchased this product 3 years ago from WalMart. I loved the product and had no problems with it. I had a problem with pet odors in my home and after using the product the odors were gone! It was easy to use and easy to clean. After about 3 years of continuous use, the product broke down. I recently purchased the product from Amazon in this 2 pack. I read some customer reviews that were unhappy with the customer service, but since I hadn't had any problems with the product, I ignored them. When I received the product I opened it immediately and plugged them both in. One worked perfrectly, the other was defective. By the time I went to return the product, it was too late to return to Amazon, so I needed to contact the manufacturer. I called them and they said they would call me back. They never did. A few weeks later, I tried again. Then said they would call be back, but again 2 days later I had not heard from them. I called a third time and spoke with a woman that did not speak very good english. She informed me that I would have to mail it to them at my cost and keep track of the shipping number. When the product arrived there I was to call them back and let them know that THEY had received it. Then I would be charged $29.95 to send me a new unit. So, I spent approximately $100 for a defective unit and would have to pay around $60 to get a new one sent to me. Needless to say, I am not returning the product and I will not be purchasing a replacement from this company. Too bad there's no way to add a pic to these reviews; I saved a picture of my Ionic Pro where it ended up--next to the garbage can outside--where it should have been to begin with. It gives off ozone, and is a hassle to clean. Actually, it's more than a hassle to clean, it's impossible: you cannot get inside the unit to clean the dust, etc., that collects. You can clean the ionizing wires, in fact you have to, but unfortunately, when you push all the plastic pieces back together, most of the time the red light will stay on. It does not have a fan, and if my poor brain had been functioning when I bought it at Fry's, I would have added 2 and 2 together and realized that it could not possibly clean the air in anything other than a small closet. I have an old Honeywell, the predecessor to the Honeywell 50250N 99.97% Pure HEPA Round Air Purifier, and if you put even one hundredth of what that Honeywell collects onto the Ionic Pro's , the Ionic Pro would stop working and give you the red "clean" light. The Honeywell has expensive replaceables and costs more to run, but it has one overwhelming advantage: it actually works, and it does not give off ozone. The Ionic Pro is useless, other than to try to impress your friends with your elegant looking pieces of junk from China.Customer Review: Horrible Waste.

When we got this set, I loved it, and while it worked, it worked great. Both my son and I have horrible allergies and this kept us from suffering.
HOWEVER!! About 1 year after I dished out the $175 I paid for these units, one stopped working. I called customer support, who told me a replacement would be no problem, but tech support would have to call me back. Tech Support called a few hours later and was very heavily Indian accented, I had a hard time understanding, but after doing what he suggested, the unit still wasn't working so I called the direct number he gave me. He told me I needed to buy the extended warranty (2 more years) for $30. At first I thought this was great, until he told me then it would be $30 for them to send the unit back to me, after I paid to ship the unit to them... That means I would spend $90 on one unit to get it "fixed"! It was insane to me.
The other unit followed suit and died a few months later.
Please save your money and don't get this unit. It won't last.

I bought these about a year ago and now one is broken. Like other reviewers the red "clean" light came on and no matter how much I clean the thing it won't go off. When I contacted the company about it (which was no easy task. it required calling several different numbers and talking to countless different people, most of whom didn't really understand English) their response was basically "too bad". The second one is still working, but I wonder for how much longer. These purifiers never were that great to begin with. The air didn't feel any cleaner than if I just opened the windows to my apartment and aired it out a little. The only thing they really did was get rid of the stuffy winter feel (but as I said before this can also be solved by just opening the windows for a few minutes). They also didn't help at all with my allergies (the main reason I bought them). The car purifiers are completely worthless. They don't do anything. Overall, I wish I had saved my money and bought something more useful.Customer Review: A huge disappointment!

I am having the same experience as many of those who have had their unit fail. The clean light will stay on rendering the unit useless. This is after 5 months of use. I should have done a little more research before ordering this paper weight. Now that the unit has failed, I am reading that I am one of countless people who are having the same problem.
The warranty process is the worse I have ever seen. I was forced to call 4 times, the first two times they told me to call back the following day because their system was down. The 3rd time I was told someone would call me back because customer service was busy?!?! The final call I was told to fax my receipt to them then call them back within 48 hours to get a return address to ship the unit back to. I would then be charged $30 for them to ship the unit back to me. If anyone is even remotely of ordering this product, DON'T! It is not worth the time and aggravation.
