We got these when the baby was born to keep down some of the dust - we put one in our room and one in the living room and they seem to work fine. They are very quiet and don't take up alot of space. They work for about a month or so without needing cleaned but cleaning is fairly easy and only takes a few minutes (plus a few more to dry).
We use the car ones to, only I can't tell if there is much difference. I suppose they work fine as I don't seem to have to dust the dashboard as often.

Clean air, no noise, no filters. Clean the blades when needed as they are VERY good at getting everything in the air - never mind microns or whatever - this gets it all. anything in the air is attracted to the plate, so how can it catch only certain sizes of whatever - it gets it ALL. I have 4 total, 2 big, 2 compact. Even have one smaller one in the bathroom, and 2 car ionizers in 2 cars. If nothing else, I know I am breathing cleaner air - see what gets left on the blades ...Customer Review: I finally quit coughing

These are very effective air purifiers. No hassels, no filters, no sound. I needed something that would reduce the dust and animal dander and these do. I'm not a smoker so I can't comment on that, but when I cleaned the plates (the system buzzes automatically when the plates need to be cleaned) I was amazed at all the dust and dander that had collected. I live out in the country with dirt roads so we have a lot of dust and I haven't coughed since I turned these on.Customer Review: I love mine!

I bought the twin pack and was very skeptical as they are so quiet and I hardly felt any air movement from them. I have one in each bedroom. Before reading other reviews, I wondered if I was nuts. But the air in both rooms smells fresher, cleaner. I've just ordered a third, larger one for the living/dining room area. I'm also very happy to be able to clean blades rather than replace filters. I'm extremely happy with them and sorry I didn't get them sooner!Customer Review: Ahhhhh I can sleep!!!!

Having NICE clean air in my room.. My daughter sleeps better, and WOW!!! I can't remember the last time I have slept so good in my room. Im Impressed!!! However.. DO NOT LET THE "free car ionizers" sell you on this. They DO NOT WORK at ALL!!!!! Ohh sure its a very pretty blue light in your vehicle, but there is NOTHING that comes out of the car version is worth it... I've yet to smell ANY difference at ALL in either of my vehicles.. NOT WORTH IT!!
