I've always wondered if these things really work and in order to find out I just ordered these and tried them out myself. They do help with cleaning "some" dust in the air and they help eliminate odors a bit. Overall I was disappointed and expected quality air or something close to it. I would have returned them but I decided to keep these because cleaning some dust is better than nothing I guess.Customer Review: Good Investment

Purchased these over a month ago and so far I am very pleased with them. Although they are for smaller rooms, two work really well when placed strategically in the house. For the money, I don't think you'll find much better. Not real impressed with the ones that came with them for the vehicle - of course they were free (if there is such a thing), so won't complain. The price, space and product is not worth it. It is silent but it removes very little from the air and plus if you open a door or window..poof the stuff out of the air is back. I have puppies and wanted to get rid of their fur on my clothes. This product did absolutely nothing for it. I bought a loud air filter and that seems to work better because it sucks in all the air. I like the product. I bought the Twin Pack. We have 5 parrots and dust and dander are always a problem. The Ionic Pro seems to do a fairly good job of cleaning the dander our of the air. I would recommend it for all who have parrots or pets and are concerned about the dander problem. The car model was hard to evaluate as we usually have either the a/c or the heater on.

Kinda the whole point of this thing is that it is supposed to be 1) quiet, 2) keep you from having to buy filters. How about buying a new unit instead? That's what you'll be doing - have had two of these and both have failed in under a year. Red cleaning light comes on and won't go out. No clue why - and Ionic Pro is no help. Way too much money to spend for such an unreliable product.
