Customer Review: Many Others MUCH better

I got this box at Wal-Mart on a closeout for $30 (their regular price was $59.95) so at least I didn't have anywhere near this listed price 'invested.' I also have two other similar boxes from two other manufacturers so I just assumed that the holes were for padlocks. Then, when I went to lock it, I discovered it would not take a padlock, unless it was like the old bicycle padlocks - http://www.amazon.com[...].
Therefore, I just got a National brass padlock hasp and put that on so I could easily lock it with a small padlock.
I also got some 'canned' styrofoam and put it in (sawing the excess flush with a Japanese saw) the cup holders or whatever they are so water could not get in it to freeze and crack the box. Finally, I also had to add a cable to keep the lid from going all the way over (it holds the lid just past straight up), which made me have to walk around my truck to reach the lid when I wanted to close the box.
There are many other boxes much better designed. This one would best be kept for storage in your garage where the wall will hold up the lid and you don't need to lock it.
