I hesitated to buy this jig due to another review but ended up buying it anyway. I saw the mounting area he was talking about and it's no thinner then the original base plate but with all the extra weight hanging from the side it could stand to be a little thicker. I had no problems connecting my Dewalt router to the jig and the accuracy of the jig is great. For what this jig cost buy it!

These Circle Jigs are clearly marked and simple to use. Each is CNC machined from 1/4" Plexiglass and are pre drilled to fit 19 different models of plunge routers. Instructions and necessary screws are included. Select the jig that fits your needs.

The Model 300 circle jig from Jasper is ideal for making tabletops. This jig allows the craftsman to make 184 differently sized tabletops in 1/4-inch increments. The tabletops range in size from 7 to 52-3/4 inches. This jig is calibrated for a 1/2-inch router bit.
