Tools and Hardware Reviews of Tomcat 100-34300-3 6-Count Mole Killer Worm FormulaCustomer Review: Killing Moles Left and Right! Summary: 5 Stars
There are several products out there that claim to make your yard moles and voles disappear but nothing seems to work. I've tried the sonic noise things that you put in the ground to drive moles/voles away but that seem to attract them! I've tried the poison peanuts but I think the moles/voles were actually laughing at me on that one. Those didn't stand a chance! The moles/voles were too smart for the kill traps but I did get one with it.
After all that, I heard about these poison worms that are supposed to replicate a real earth worm so I thought I would give them a try. They seem to be working VERY well! I smash the mole/vole run down so I can find an active trail. Then I cut one of the poison worms into thirds (1/3) and poke it into the active trail. About 4 or 5 days later, I smash the trail down again to see if I had any luck. Sure enough, no activity! I've been using these worms for around 10 months. They really do work and I hope they can work for you.
There are only 6 worms in the box and I would recommend cutting the worms into thirds (1/3). I have a pretty big yard and this seems to work perfectly!
Good luck!
** UPDATE **
I have been using these poison worms for 2 summers now and I officially have ZERO moles! At the beginning of Summer 2006, I had a huge mole problem. My yard was a diaster and my newly planted landscape was being destroyed. It's now Fall 2008, and I haven't seen a mole since mid-summer!
Just drop one of these poison worms (cut it into thirds) down in the mole run and cover the small hole you created when placing the worm in the ground. I use a small stick to punch a hole in the mole run so it's easy to cover up. Be sure and wear gloves when handling the poison worms.
Again, good luck!!
