Customer Review: Great replacement bulb for broken one that came with my lamp

I purchased the "Good Earth Lighting GL6543-BK-GLI Lincoln Park Tochiere with Opal Glass Diffuser, Black", but it came with a broken bulb. I purchased this replacement bulb and it arrived with lots of package protection and has worked great for months now. It allows for increasing/decreasing light intensity if your lamp can do that, btw.Customer Review: Difficult to find

When our dog turned the lamp over, I figured it would be a simple bulb replacement. It turned out that we couldn't find the bulb at any hardware stores near our home. The search on Amazon was great because it popped right up. The bulb came and it worked. Too bad when the lamp fell over that it messed up the switch that turns it on!!Customer Review: Don't Buy This

The people at Office Depot don't have a clue about how to ship glass. It came in a box with no padding beneath the item, and some paper on top of it. Needless to say, when I received it, it was smashed, and I'm still dealing with them on how to get properly credited.This was a nightmare. Never again.

While the bulb works fine, the color temperature is way off (5000K?). The light output is bright, but it's too blue for use indoors. The original GE bulb had a much warmer color to it (about 2700K). Beware you are not getting a genuine GE light bulb here.
You get what you pay for.

All the packing material was on top of the 2 bulbs, one of which was broken. The paper said, "contains mercury dispose of properly". So I get exposed to mercury. Not what I wanted.
Does not even go into a normal bulb socket.
