I had been looking for this kind of product for years, for my 220v electric baseboard wall heater in my basement.
I wanted Lux because I have a Lux thermostat for my central A/C, and this one has the same buttons and the controls look the same. It does indeed program and operate the same way, which is a plus. It's already intuitive to program and use, but it's nice not to have to learn how to program a different brand or type.
I expect this purchase will easily pay for itself by the end of this winter.

I'm very pleased with this product except for one thing: it has a blinking display. It switches back and forth about every 2 seconds from showing the time to showing the current temperature. To me, a blinking display means that something is wrong. Maybe I'm weird, but looking at the darn thing makes me a little nervous.
If that won't bother you, you'll like this thermostat. It came with good instructions and was easy to install. The interface (other than the blinking display) is very good.

Installation and programming is easy with the enclosed instructions and takes 20-30 minutes The battery back-up keeps the settings in case of a power outage.I wish these had been available years ago when I bought our house. If these were a part of the Building and/or Electrical Code nationwide it would end up saving the home-buyer/owner lots in electric bills in the long run and help reduce our nations overall energy bill.
I LIKE the alternating display between actual temp. and the time!

The product is probably wonderful, however, I had my first negative experience with Amazon. I ordered 3 thermostats and they arrived promptly. One thermostat's package looked previously opened, sure enough, it had been used and then returned. The wires were cut and parts missing. The second thermostats package not only had been opened but there were written notes in the directions! I returned them for a full refund, which they granted. Other than that, Amazon is great!Customer Review: Great programmable thermostat for the price!

This thermostat works well and is by far the cheapest programmable thermostat for electric baseboard heaters out there. The price rivals most ordinary digital thermostat with no programmable functions at most big hardware stores. The only problem with this thermostat is that it is a single pole thermostat, So there will always be power to the heater all year round, (it does not turn off). You must shut off breaker to turn the heater and the thermostat completely off.
