Tools and Hardware Reviews of Jiffy Steamer 0601 ESTEAM Travel Steamer, BlackCustomer Review: Very Disappointing Steamer Summary: 1 Stars
I just used the Jiffy E-Steamer (Model 601) on a variety of different fabrics and was extremely disappointed. In some cases I felt the steamer made the fabric pucker (the item was a permant press cotton) and looked worse than before I started. For the length of time it took to have the fabrics look passable I could have taken out the ironing board and ironed each piece and had beautifully ironed clothing. Don't waste your money. Customer Review: Powerful and convenient Summary: 4 Stars
PROS:
1. You don't have to add salt.
2. It's compact and easy to use.
3. It's powerful
4. Probably one of the best in its category currently on the market.
CONS:
1. It's a bit on the large size for what's considered a travel steamer, especially in this age of having to minimize weight and bulk on airplanes.
2. It works well and gives off a good amount of steam. But it doesn't work quite as well as the full-size ones with hoses attached.
3. It's someone high-priced.
Customer Review: amazing! Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this item for my mother for Christmas. It came in the mail a few days ago, so I figured that I should test it out to make sure it was working properly :). Now, I don't want to give it to my mom for Christmas!!! I just might have to order another one. It is amazing how quickly I can touch up shirts and sweaters. Lots of my sweaters have creases in them from being folded and in a drawer since last winter. The steamer got those creases out immediately! I am thoroughly impressed. Great product!
Customer Review: Good little steamer Summary: 4 Stars
I was looking for a small steamer we could use to touch up wrinkled formal dresses when my daughter travels to compete in beauty pageants. This steamer does a pretty good job. Obviously it is not going to steam wrinkles like a big steamer would, but it does a good job for its size. It heats VERY quickly and steams for quite a while before needing to be refilled. It is small, so it is easy to pack. It is super easy to use...just fill it with tap water, plug it in and, in just a few minutes, start steaming.
Customer Review: too expensive, not very efficient Summary: 3 Stars
I bought this for about $50 last month. It's not very poweful, the area from which the vapor comes out is too small, and it makes it difficult to steam cloths efficiently. the other reason that I gave it a low score, is that if you angle the steamer, there is good chance of water dripping, which can first burn your hands.
I do not recommend this steamer, unless you want it only for on a trip, because it is relatively small and light weight, and at last it does the job (although with hassle).
