So far I have been able to test out the Gorilla Torch and I am loving it. It is pretty much the modern version of the "Snake Light" that came out about 15 years ago. There are plenty of times when I wished I could attach a flashlight with flexible legs or with magnets for projects I was working on.
It uses the same exact legs as the main Gorilla Pod (the small one). I have used that for a while now and it has worked out great for me. They have a warranty on it too. One year I believe??
Overall I would recommend it. It is by no means the perfect flashlight, but for a product that is brand-new to the market from a company that has never made a flashlight before, I would say it is pretty good. I give it 5 stars because it met all my needs as a flashlight that I could attach to anything. Dimmer option was a plus for me!

This is one great light for the money. I use the light at work nearly everyday and even though I have other lights to choose from (most costing 2 -4x more) I find I grab this one and my energizer head strap light more than any other. The Joby is super bright and has nearly infinite possibilities in positioning. Can't adjust focus, but in day in and day out use of this unit I haven't found that to matter much. For the money I can't find a light as bright and with the limitless options in positiioning. As for durability, I drop this unit at least once a week and many times into machine oil. Just wipe clean and your back in business. A big thanks to my wife for buying this for me, great gift that is getting alot of use. And the bateries seem to last quite long also, haven't changed them yet.Customer Review: Impressive Grip and Decent Light

The legs are the best part of this flashlight. They are very flexible, strong, and just the right length to grip on just about anything! i.e. tree limbs, door knobs, fence posts, window sash, etc. It only needs a little edge in order to get a good grip. The magnets hold it strongly to a car hood, refrigerator, lawn mower, steel door, etc.
The lamp is bright but dimmable, and the switch is good. It will problably not turn on by accident in a drawer.
The beam is designed for small area tasks. It works good when you point it on a target where you need light. It is not going to be great for walking in the dark or as an area light.
This light will be my new "Go To" flashlight for the tool drawer at home.

I'm not sure why people are complaining that the light isn't bright enough or isn't 'clean'. I have found this light to be GREAT and SOOOO bright! We have taken it camping and it puts out more than enough light. I love the magnets on the end! It makes it very handy when working on cars. We've actually had it hanging on a corner of a doorway (it sticks to the metal edge) and is nice and easy to grab and go. I can see lots of potential of using it many other places. I love this flashlight! Don't listen to the complaints. They are completely untrue. I haven't had any problems with the batteries falling out or the magnets being 'too strong'. We don't have a garage and sometimes my husband will work on the cars until it gets dark and a regular flashlight just won't do. So I thought of getting this as a gift and he is very happy to have it. It can be attached anywhere on the hood and he was able to do his work with both hands free. He is also very satisfied with it's brightness. He lost a small part inside the engine and because it is so bright, he was able to find it. It comes in different colors, too. We've never tried it but I'm pretty sure that in the event of a power outage, this will work perfectly as a lamp, too. I would recommend it for any work and space that you need better lighting.
