Tools and Hardware Reviews of Fuller Tool 301-1950 3-Piece PRO Heavy Duty Wood Chisel SetCustomer Review: soft but good as a first set Summary: 4 Stars
I bought these to play around with and learn how to carve basic wood joints, so I can't really comment on the ergonomics or quality of the steel. I can say the edges got nicked and dulled faster than I expected, even just messing around on some soft pine, however they still cut adequately. I was able to sharpen them with a diamond whetstone to a nice edge and keep going. As one other reviewer said, they'll work just fine, you just may have to sharpen them more often than chisels with higher quality steel.
Customer Review: Good chisels Summary: 5 Stars
Like the other guy, I got these at a closeout place on the cheap. Found these chisels to have a quality feel, be beefy and very sharp. I don't think they are through tanged like Stanley's FatMax, but they'll probably hold up well to light hammering. Apparently they have a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer too. Well worth the $8 I spent.
Customer Review: Made in Canada! Summary: 5 Stars
I just got a set of these in a bargan basement type store hardware section for under $8.00 USD. The cardboard package was marked "Made In Canada". For amateur use they are an excellent set. The are well mde and well designed. They may be one of the last American/Canadian made tool sets available. BUY NORTH AMERICAN when ever possible!
Customer Review: Fuller 3 Piece Heavy Duty Wood Chisel Set Summary: 5 Stars
These chisels are of excellent quality. The steel goes all the way through the handel protecting the handel from damage. The cutting edges are sharp and protected with covers. The handles are nicely shaped and of good size for gripping. I recommend this product
Customer Review: Decent for the price Summary: 4 Stars
This is a good selection of chisels to put in the toolbox, useful in many situations. It is not a complete set for a woodworker, but I find it useful to take to have on hand when I go to a work site, particularly when I was not expecting to need a chisel.
