I guess you have to have a certain kind of water for this to work. I live in north San Diego County, and even though I never heard anyone say our water was hard, I guess its too hard for this product to work. Living in a glass-walled house, I am always looking for a solution to cleaning 8'x9' plate glass windows. When I first tried this, it took me 2 windows before the soap even appeared. Once I realized there was soap, I re-did all the windows I did before, making sure I got them nice and soapy. After rinsing and drying, the streaks on the window were as bad as if I used nothing at all. I hope I can get a refund.Customer Review: Horrible Streaks - VERY Disappointed

We were so excited using this product for the first time.....it suds-up and cleaned the toughest grime on our windows without using a ladder! Imagine our shock when we entered our house and found the windows Horribly Streaked!! It seems the first windows we washed had the worst streaking - towards the end of the pad there was less streaking. We had to go back out and wash the windows on the ladder the old fashioned way. Being in our 60's that was kind of scary. Will never use this again and hoping for a refund from Windex.Customer Review: Easy to use if you have a ladder and a squeegee

I was very disappointed in this product. It is my fault though, because I didn't read the mice-type at the bottom. It suggests you pre-clean the windows with Windex. Darn!!! I should know better than assume that anything works "as advertised". Now I need to go buy a big bottle of Windex to clean up after their "miracle" Outdoor Windex Outdoor All-in-One product. At least I can use the 4 ft Windex wizard wand with a rag to clean basement windows. Don't waste your money on this product, use a coupon and get it free like I did.Customer Review: 100x faster than rags, BRILLIANT!

Pros: makes cleaning windows so fast it is fun
sturdy enough to get the spider webs & nests while you are at it
lasts long enough
The pivoting head is the KEY
you can tape swifters onto it and get down cobwebs indoors
you can tape microfiber cloths onto it and use it INDOORS<<<key +++
Cons: left a tiny bit of residue after the rinse but heck, these windows had not been scrubbed in 8 years!
Will I buy again? HECK YES!
Customer Review: filmy, streaky windows with spots

I should have checked the reviews here first but I bought this kit and hoped for the best. Used as directed, this left streaks, spots and worst of all, a film on all of my windows! Now I have to climb up on top of the patio cover to re-clean the master bedroom windows and get on a 10ft ladder to clean the rest of the upstairs windows.
I did notice several other reviews from people living in my area that had the same results so I assume this doesn't work well in hard water. Very disappointed.
