Customer Review: Don't purchase Kohler products from Amazon

The valve was missing all of the gaskets making the valve unusable in the condition I received it in. Had to contact Kohler to buy the gaskets as Amazon has a policy of not honering defects, or in this case, missing parts, 30 days after order. I purchased approximately 40 days before installing. Had I bought the item at Home Depot, there would have been no issue as Kohler provides a lifetime warranty with products HD sells. Kohler's policy is that if you purchase from an authorized dealer, which Amazon is not, there is no warranty. Had I known this, I would have purchased from Home Depot for the lifetime warranty. Generally, online purchasing from Amazon is great, but this did it for me.
Description of KOHLER K-304-KS-NA Rite-Temp Pressure Balancing Valve
This Rite-Temp pressure-balancing valve works behind the scenes to prevent scalding and freezing for a safe, comfortable water supply. The valve features a high-temperature limit stop and an optimal comfort zone, so you can set a maximum high and then find and maintain your desired water temperature. Additionally, the unit has a diaphragm design that virtually eliminates freeze-ups from contamination and water debris.
